This is our drawing of how the wiring would look like, when complete.

This is the final look of what our wring was. He got the drone to fly after connecting everything.

Also what we thought to use the 350$ we raised for them was allow them to use the money to build there own cage. To fly in, since we only had 100 we were thinking what they could do with 350. Using that as their limit. Would be cool to see in a way. Or just get them a pizza party and call it a day.

Week7

D&D
when it came to building or disassemble the tent we had it went very well. Something we would do in order to change our tent to make if better would be to make our rings (which are our obstacles) a lot bigger then they are. If we made them bigger our obstacles would be a lot easier then some of the others. also, when it came to transportation we were completely fine. So the idea of bigger rings would be the only thing we would change thinking back to make our tent more fun and easier to completely all the obstacles.

week 2

David and Daniel
tent building - week 2

Materials:
  1. Pvc pipes: all are ¾ “
    1. 4 x 2’
    2. 4 x 3’
    3. 4 x 6’
    4. 8 x 3 way elbow connectors
      1. These are all the dimensions and sizes we need but we could buy 10’ pipes and then cut them into the right sizes.
      2. Total for 5 x 10’ pipes and 8 3way elbows is $29.14

  1. Netting - surface area of 162’
    1. 48 in. x 250 ft. Economy 1 in. x 2 in. Mesh - $48.29

Instructions:
  1. If the pipes are not already cut into the correct dimensions, do so now.
  2. First, connect the 2 2’ pipe to the 2 3’ pipe to make a rectangle, with the 3 way elbow connector. Do this step 2 times.
  3. Next, connect the 4 6’ pipes into all 8 of the 3 way elbows.
  4. Next, lay the netting on top of the pvc pipe structure, and make sure all the sides are covered evenly.
  5. If the net is flying around, use some tape or string to connect the netting to the piping.

Week One

David O and Daniel V.
To raise money by fundraising to reach a goal of $5,000 to give to the Notre Dame Catholic High School stem club. We want to find a way to give back to the community when we can, and also to raise the US rank when it comes to stem as well by teaching kids younger then us as much as we can.
-Daniel V

Our goal for this semester is to help work with the Notre Dame High School students and give them the experience of what it is like to work with college engineering students. We want to raise money to help them buy more parts and machines to improve there experience at their own school. towards the end of the year we want to go to the Westport Makerfaire and do very well so we can make a name for our school, to drive more high school students come to our school.

Image result for tents with hoops
An idea we would use would be part of this set. It would be the top left mainly. to use the ring on a tent to have the drone fly thou. Having this set would keep an a good idea. Also there many thing the drove will have to fly past leaning our main idea. on having the person to fly with cation to make an 8 while staying in the box we will build.

So our sketch consists of donut like circles connected by string to the wall. The holes are no going to be in line with each other, the person flying the drone will have to flying around and go through the holes. you are able to fly the drone around the holes, but the obstacle is to fly the drone through all three holes

Fundraising Idea:
So our idea was to use our drone and tent with the obstacle. Everyone wanting to contribute has to pay a certain amount of money. There will be a race for the person who can get the fastest time to get through all the obstacles will win 50% of the money we raise. The rest of the money will go towards the money being raised for Notre Dame.
